If you collect seaglass, you've likely heard of Davenport Beach.
Located near Santa Cruz, California, this beach has quite an urban legend cult type of following among beachcombers.
We visited Davenport Beach in early July this year to see if we could find pieces of seaglassto share with our beachcombing friends, but sadly, we found only about 4 almost microscopic pieces. (Despite digging several 3+ foot deep holes on the North and South sides of the beach in different heights on the shoreline. Some very close to the stone wall, some close to the water's edge. All at low tide!) Others there that day had similar results. (There was NO glass to be found on the shore or in it, folks!)
We also collect sand, so we thought this might be the best tribute to Davenport to share.
Add your sand vial to your collection or fashion it into a necklace, it's beautiful either way!
